It’s always a relief to see the end of January. Exams have come and gone and now that we’ve got the time, I suggest we do something useful with it…let’s get active!

Enroll youself to the nearest gym or return to the gym if you’re already subscribed but just haven’t managed to get your lazy body over there for quite a while. Or just try to find the time to go for a walk or jog once in a while. There are also various other types of activities and events that organised which can help you benefit.

Let’s take the next JF Football Tournament, for example. If you enter, not only will you benefit by being active in a safe and friendly environment, but you’ll also be in the chance of winning €200.
This 7-a-side tournament will be taking place on the 14th of March at the Archbishop’s Seminary in Rabat. The admission fee is only €5 per player and the winning team will win €200 to be divided by the team and a winners’ medal will be given to each player. Runners-up medals will also be given to the second-best team and there will also be a trophy for the top scorer.

The Istrina fund-raising event is taking place as I write this. It’s exactly 5 o’clock and the TV shows that they’ve collected €346,125. Considering the fact that they once collected Lm1,000,000, they seem to be some way off their mark at the moment. None the less…

As everyone knows, this yearly event is in fact a great cause as it helps various charities throughout our tiny islands. Despite this, one may also argue that it is just a great marketing exercise. All those gifts being given out every minute does seem to be a little exagerated! Does someone really need a brand-new-Kia incentive to actually donate some money to a good cause?

Another question arises. And it’s sort of rhetoric. Would the Istrina team collect those great sums if there weren’t any gifts involved?! (or if the number of gifts involved were halfed for that matter)

Anyway, I haven’t yet phoned or sent a message. If I do decide to donate some money, I wouldn’t want a prize in return. It seems quite stupid to donate €12 and receive a prize worth thousands of Euros in return. I do wish they gather a nice sum though, because there’s a great need for those funds.

Wow!!! I was inspired to create an account on this blog thing after inspecting the last issue of the Insiter magazine at University.

The blog.com.mt ad was found just underneath a pretty interesting article actually. The article reached out to me as I read a large, bold “HEY, SEX” text. I couldn’t resist reading the article and, after inspecting the rest of the page, I decided to create a blog to waste some time. In reality, the whole magazine was sex-infested and I’m sure it will be the magazine’s most popular issue of all time…that is, unless they actually decide to accept my proposal for next issue’s Personality of the Month-but let’s forget that for the time being.

So, the current matter is this: Should there be condom machines at University??! Hmmmmm…tough one (I prefer not using the word “hard” here). I’m not so sure! I mean…from all the possible places to do your business, why do it at University?! I doubt you will be very attentive during the lecture after a quickie!!

Anyway, everyone’s entitled to his opinion I guess. That’s all for now,
